Exclamation Constant headache after mononucleosis

Hi all.
I had mononucleosis in october. It took 1 month and a half for the doctors to realized that. I had all the typical sypmtoms back them, with the exception of fever and swollen lymph nodes. After that I started to feel pressure on my bladder and intestines.

It was determined that all that was due to the large amount of pills (antibiotics) I took for almost 2 months. So, I recovered from that.

Now, it's been a week since I started to have headaches and pain on the bridge nose. It could be thought this is sinusitis, but I don't have any mucus. Although, I know there might be cases of "dry sinusitis".

The pain started in the nose bone, then the forehead, between the eyes and around them. Some times it irradiates to the back of the head.

Does anybody experienced anything like this? I would really like to know the relationship with my previous issue with mononucleosis and now this.

Regards,
Damian.

Re: Constant headache after mononucleosis

Hi Damian,

My situation is very, very similar to yours. I contacted mono in late December, and have been very slowly recovering since then. Two weeks ago, I began having severe headaches that would start a few hours after I woke up and persist throughout the day. They were debilitating enough that I would have to leave work. I personally think it must be connected to my mononucleosis infection, but was definitely thrown off at first by the sudden return/intensification of symptoms nearly five months after initial onset of mono. After looking around online, I've discovered something called 'post-viral headaches.' How are you doing now? After five months of mono and now brutal headaches, I'm obviously very eager to recover.
