| Listeria and Meningitis confirmed.....
Does anyone have any background or knowledge on Listeria? My mother has been seriously I'll in hospital for the past week. She started off with nausea, mild flu symptoms and was soon admitted to accident and emergency with severe head, neck and eye pain. She is very unwell and I mainly know where Listeria comes from and the symptoms but I would like to know how long this bacteria will be in her body or if anyone knows anything about it at all. The hospital where she is have not seen Listeria case for 20 years. Complications with the Listeria has caused confirmed viral meningitis.
