I have quite often got a shooting pain in my left wrist and hand over the last 2 years, I just put up with it as often it is over within seconds and usually just once a week, although within those few seconds it is incredibly painful, like a knife in my hand.
However, what has started to scare me a bit is that my right hand has started to do it, but not just that, I get a sudden spaced out feeling and then a shooting pain in my hand and fingers, and then my face feels boiling hot as though I have a sudden rush of blood to my head. Then around 3 of my fingers will tingle for about 10 to 20 minutes. This has now happened twice, yesterday and now today. The first time I gave someone a cup of tea and turned around to go out the door, when I stood still it happened. Today I was making someone a drink by putting ice in the glass, I shut the freezer door and turned around and it happened then. Both times were identical in sensation, first the sudden spaced out feeling, then a second later comes the hand shooting pain with tingling, then comes the blood rush to my head, then my fingers tingle for up to 20 minutes.
I am morbidly obese (26 stone), and I put most health issues down to my weight, but over the last week things have got bad. I have had scratching and tingling in my toes/feet too, although I can cope with that. A finger on my left hand was tingling when touched for 3 days solid, but is now ok. My left eye keeps twitching, which I put down to computer usage and mild sleep apnea.
So what do you think the shooting pain/tingling/blood rush may be ? I have home diagnostic equipment and my blood pressure and blood oxygen seems well within safe limits, and a finger ***** tests shows my blood sugar is ok. The only thing raised is my pulse, resting is around 90, while walking it is around 110.
Thanks for any advice
