For the past 3 or 4 months I have had some sort of wave of pain in my back-neck-shoulders-head. Its almost like an electric shock..?? It starts in my back and its quick and spreads to ^^ those areas in a wave like motion. Its not stabbing or burning. Just a spiky tingle, but very uncomfortable. I get a few waves in a row normally then it goes away.
I normally get the waves once or twice daily-- Normally when I get hot or uncomfortable.
I went to the doctor for it and got prescribed 100mg of Gabapentin(Neurotonin) [the lowest dose] -- I have been taking it for a month and 1/2. I noticed a small difference only about for two weeks after I started taking it. But then 2 weeks after it helped the waves came back! Sometimes they are even worse now..
Could I need a higher dose????
Is this even nerve pain??
I also read this could be due to anxiety?
Other Information: She also prescribed me Savella ( for Fibro ), Levothyroxine ( underactive thyroid )
Wish I could really help you, but I don't think it's neuropathy. That kinda stays with you all the time. Sounds more like impinged nerves. Be careful with the Neurontin. They will ramp you up to high doses. I would go to a pain managent doc if you haven't already. My prayers are with you.

My big issue is no insurance. I'm in college just getting by for now type of situation :/! Only thing I can afford is my local family clinic.
When you say local family clinic, is that the one provided by the College? I think College/Universities offer student health insurance if needed? You might ask the registrar?
It's a hometown clinic. Just a small place. Really good doctor, only for a much cheaper price. I am attending a community college right now and almost positive they do not offer anything like that. But that is something I will need to look into! I will be transferring to a university next spring so maybe they will have something!!
