Back, Hip and ankle - any advice welcome please
Hi there, 18 months ago i was involved in a car crash (i was a passenger hit twice at the rear of the car) since then I have been in pain with my lower back (MRI shows lumber bulging discs, one with a tear) constant left hip pain and sometimes complete thigh (MRI also shows something with pelvis!! no one has explained this yet) and also apparently have a "floating bone" in my left ankle - even sitting the pain shoots around my ankle.
This is all being dealt with by insurers, solicitors etc etc. I have had no one disclose to me yet the results of my MRI's apart from what I have read ... I now have to go for a further medical report with an orthopeadic surgeon ..I have nothing to hide I have disclosed that I have HMS (hypermobility syndrome) and believed the ankle pain was due to this until I discovered the floating bone and no mention of ligament damage ...But they are now saying that as I am over 40, this could all be due to wear and tear ... I have never had back issues before and have offered my medical records for full disclosure..
Has anyone else been through anything like this, basically the pain I now feel is ruining my life, I am thinking of getting a stick and will not go on anti depressants due to the costs on Life Insurance policies, the pills I received from my GP space me out and nothing can take any of the pain away ..
Can anyone advise me if they have been through the same situation, I do not want to be fobbed off with being told I am getting old, prior to this I exercised 3 times a week and have always eaten healthily and now I feel like is deteriorating fast .. sorry to go on any advise is accepted. thanks
