This seems worse when I lay in bed. I wake up becuae I feel like Im suffocating or someting in body isn't working right.

I've been to 2 cardiologist
lung specialist
ER 3 times
They said nothing is wrong

TEst done;

You've had the million dollar work up! With your symptoms the first thing they do is try to rule out heart, lung, an anemia issues. Looks like your tests came out ok

It's funny I suffer from the same symptoms as you, I've had all those same tests and the only thing they could find that could be causing me to feel that way is GERD and a hernia. I wonder if you may have the same thing?

You see, when you have acid reflux, you get the chest tightness and shortness of breath. Also, what they are finding out is that those of us who have GERD have an increased level of hydrochloric acid, which makes our heart race

I'm not saying I know for sure what you have, but it does sound like acid reflux, along with a little bit of anxiety

Oh thanks for the reply! I just had an endoscopy done today. I will get results in 2 weeks I was told. He said he did see a bit of redness in my stomach lining but we need to wait for biopsy to confirm what's going on. does this keep you from sleeping?? I'm so scared and so miserble!

The redness might be gastritis which is what they found when I had my upper endoscopy as well. It's not a big deal unless it's erosive gastritis. My doctor just told me to keep taking Prilosec

It doesn't keep me from sleeping but I could see how being anxious during this situation can keep you up all night

Good luck
