My first post comes because of a pain I have never before experienced. I thought I got stung by a wasp or something on my back just below the shoulder-blade. It radiated for about 15 seconds or so about the size of a clothes iron and it sort of felt like a searing hot iron. Made note of it and let it go at that time. Did nothing to bring it on, and now the burning comes and goes as it pleases but is always subtly there in between episodes. I thought it might be the "on-set" of shingles (or what I imagine shingles to be). I didn't want my grandchildren exposed to chickenpox virus so I went to the VA Hospital doctor and they said "no rash - no shingles: They told me just to keep an eye on it

. Anybody else go through this, or have ideas?
