Constant eye and head pressure. I originally had seen a doctor for it, they claimed it was sinuses and this has proceeded for about two months now. No better at all. Ive been taking nasonex nose spray for "sinuses" as the doctor prescribed. I'm just worried it may be another issue, regarding health problems. I have not did a full MRI. Please reply if anyone knows what this may be or ways to relieve the eye and head pressure, it's a burden.
I have a similar problem, constant pressure in my head, for at least 8 years straight, every day. I don't usually notice eye pressure, but I have heard that's common with sinus problems.
I had an MRI of the head done and they found no obvious abnormalities. They don't think I have sinus problems, either.
Unfortunately, there is no diagnosis out there for this symptom. I guess it could be some kind of headache--that's what my neurologist believed--but headache/migraine pills don't reduce my head pressure.
It seems after 2 months of headache and eye pressure, you need to have a CT scan or MRI. CT scans are usually done for sinuses, but they are good for showing other problems too. It is possible you have a sinus infection and if you weren't treated with good antibiotics, it won't just go away. The sphenoid sinuses are behind the eyes and can cause eye pressure, pain on movement of eyes, light sensitivity and even bloodshot eyes when pressure gets high. I would ask for a CT scan, and if your Dr won't order it, see a neurologist or ENT to get one done.
