| | 2 weeks after stomach bug, my 5 year old still vomiting...
My 5 year old daughter had the stomach bug 2 weeks ago. She threw up as many as 15 times - I took her to the E.R. because she wouldn't stop vomiting. After taking a med. that helps with the nauseau, we went home and she slept soundly. She was down and out for a couple of days.
Two days later, she randomly threw up in the middle of the night. She has had consistent diarrhea every day since the stomach bug.
On Tuesday around 1:00 a.m, she woke up and was throwing up again - 3 times. She was fine the entire day, eating, playing, etc. and feeling just fine. The next night, same thing. At 3:00 a.m., she threw up again. Thursday night, she had horrible diarrhea, but no vomiting.
She threw up again last night and the night before. We were sent to get an ultrasound done on her belly and all tests came back negative. We have submitted stool samples (they will be back tomorrow, I believe). She's lost 4 pounds and she's a tiny girl as it is!
Right now, we're at a loss as to what we should do! She is currently taking culturelle, Gaviscon (as needed) and pepcid, twice a day. Nothing seems to be helping.
