| Fluttering In lower chest
I am a pretty healthy guy who has no history of any medical/mental illness. I am 33 and just recently started feeling these strange flutterings in my lower chest. It feels almost like I have a constant shot of adrenaline that goes on for hours.
When it first happened, about two and a half weeks ago, it scared me so badly that I went to the emergency room at our local hospital. They treated me quickly, as a heart attack patient. Once I was hooked up to heart monitors they told me I was fine, processed me and ushered me out. I really felt foolish. I never go to the hospital because of the wait AND because I was, until now, a person without health problems of any sort. This last experience will not bolster my hospital confidence. Anyways, there is not really pain, per se, but a strange fluttery feeling in the middle of, or in the lower part, of my chest. I check my pulse, and I am fine. It has happened three times in the last two and a half weeks and sometimes last for 36 hours. It is hard to concentrate, sleep, or really do much of anything. I should probably mention that, after my first episode, I quit smoking a half a pack a day. I have not had a cigarette in two weeks.
I could use some words of wisdom....
Dan
