Last night our 6 yr old was crying and upset about missing Grammy. It's been 5 mos. but still bothers them sometimes. She bought a balloon, wrote and attached a note to send to Grammy in heaven. At the store, our 10 yr old bought 2 beanie babies (Grammy had a collection of probably 300-400 of them) one for her and one for her sister. When we got home, we let the balloon go and watched until it was out of sight. A few hours later at home, the 10 yr old checked the birthday of her beanie baby. She said "Mom look, August 26,2007 two days after Daddy's birthday." She was right. But Aug. 26 was another date too. It was the day Grammy died.
