hi everyone im sorry for your losses i lost my son to accidentell overodose last june i have so many questions and no one to ask his death certificate said overdose i thought overdose and suicide meant the same also i was told he died in his sleep but my daughter in law said his eyes were opened so almost a year later im still wondering if he woke up and tried to get help also wonder if it was accidental or meant he was add8cted to precription pills and wen4 cold turkey 18 months before he died but the autopsy said he had a small amount of dehidrecode and vallium his doctor was still precrybing but also a little methadone ive no one to talk to hope someone here can help

thank you i did not think anyone would reply as drugs seem to have a stigma my son was started on them for a blood clot when he was 27 then they put him on df119s then diazapam it all got out of control he was not a junkie by choice he trusted his doctor she had to keep him on warferan as his blood clot was reacurring i get angry about the other drugs as there verry addictive and i lost the most loveing caring son because of them x

a loss is a loss ... it doesn't matter how or why ... addiction is an illness. You still lost your son and that is sad

I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss and the fact that drugs were involved changes nothing about the loss of your son. I am also an addict in recovery and as smashingpumkin said, addiction is an illness that often leads to unfortunate situations. *hugS* how have you been doing with it all?

thank you i just have to accept it but he was a lovely person people say you get over it but dont feel lick it my son was down to 4 of the pills the doctor gave him but he relaped a verry small dose of methadone killed him we didnt expect it he was doing so well i wish you luck on your withdrawall xxxx
