My hair started to thin after the birth of my first child as well (about 4 months). Pregnancy hair is FABULOUS. The rate which your hair falls out is decreased so you have much more hair on your head. About 3 to 4 months postpartum, your hormones leave your body and cause all the built up hair to fall out.
Also, my mother's hair is very fine as is my father's so I think it also had something to do with genetics. I am 32....
I have found a great product called Bumble and Bumble hair powder...comes in a few colors and will make the hair appear thicker and cover up grey....
Good luck!

When you are pregnant, your hair doesn't fall out...thats why women always talk about how great their hair is. But once that baby comes, all the extra hair does fall out. Its so sad. My shower would get plugged up with all the shed hair. yuk. You naturally lose 50-100 hairs a day...is it worse than that? How long has it been going on?
Do you drink diet soday? Ive just been reading about how it is super bad for you and they are actually tying it to women losing hair. Just a thought.

Have you checked for mild PCOS? (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) It is a hormonal imbalance that can include thinning hair. It will cause thinning hair, especially in a male baldness pattern (at the temples.) Other symptoms includes unusual or missing periods, darker or more hair in "male" areas like face, chest, etc. I am your age and PCOS has been causing thinning hair for a few years for me. It's not noticable to others, but I definitely see it when I'm combing my hair.
