Ativan and hair loss. Anyone else have this?

I've been on Ativan and lorazepam (generic form) for about 10 years now. In the last 6 months my hair has been falling out in clumps whenever I wash or comb it. The doctors say it's not from the pills, yet when I stopped them for a week the hair loss stopped as well. Anyone else have this side effect? Thanks.

P.

I know it is a possible side effect of Ativan. Not sure about lorazepam. It's strange it would occur after 10 years though... you'd think it would have happened way earlier. Strange things happen I guess.

Not sure why your doc says it's not the pills. It's a listed side effect.
