Lupus/sjogrens/grave's/alopecia
Well having read thru all these msgs on this board, my curiosity has peaked. I have had Alopecia areata, Grave's disease, and mono a while back in my teens. I have had red rashes on my jaw, neck, chest and right hip. Was treated with steriods and that cleared the problem up. I had similar rash type symptoms 8 years ago too.
A few years back I had a sswollen lymph node in my neck and it was removed the pathology stated it could be "cat scratch disease or even sle" Currently for the pat year and a half I have had irregular small swollen areas on my gums at the base and in between the teeth where the gum comes into a peak. Also more aggravating my bottom lip's top layer of skin seems to slough off every 24-36 hours continually and I have pain at the end of a day around my lips and tip of my tongue. I have a little soreness in lower throat near the larnyx- perhaps another lymph node. My tongue is white and especially in the morning. Sometimes I have dry mouth as well. I have swished apple cider vinegar around in my mouth. It helps with the pain but leaves my mouth completely white on the tongue. borders of the gums and lips. I have a positive ANA it has been checked 3 times in the last 9 months ranging from 1:160 : 1:640 and even as high as 1280. My sed rate was 3 which was normal. I have taken Nystatin and Myclelex for months and diflucan for 7 or 10 days with no real help. Anyone with similar symptoms? I have tested negative twice for HIV, syphilis, hsv2. Does anyone know if exposure to a viral infection causes "lupus" to flare up. I don't know the symptoms of SLE or if any of my symptoms are similar. As far as fatigue I think I am okay. I do have a little stifness in the morning especially in areas with prior injuries- broken finger and broken bone in foot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
