| Re: Hair loss in a 6 year old
That is happening to my 4 year old also. She use to have a huge ponytail but now I noticed her ponytail isn't as thick, it looks like she has lost about hal of her hair also. It's also stringy and dull. It use to look so soft and shiny. I pulled back her hair on the sides and I can see her scalp in lots of areas but not on top, I have an appt with a specialist in Nov. I'll let you know so you can see about your little one. I am thinking she is deficient in some vitamin maybe iron or has a food allergy to something, she's also constipated alot and complains about tummy aches.
It's definately a sign something is wrong, children should have healthy hair. Good luck.
