Just Noticed Thinning Hair

Hi Everyone

I'm a 38 year old male and currently experiencing thinning hair. I originally had curly hair but hated it and always kept it short by visiting my barber monthly for a number 3. Recently I decided to let it grow slightly and noticed that if I hold a mirror above my head I can see straight through to my scalp, this isn't visible from the back or sides just from above. There is no history of baldness or hair loss on my Mother or Fathers side of the family however I have suffered with a flaky/oily scalp for as long as I can remember, I'm now panicking that I'm about to become bald and have been stressing myself out daily, which I find rather odd as for the past decade I've done nothing but shave my hair off . I've seen no evidence of hair loss on my combs, pillows, clothes etc.

At the moment I'm using Alpecin Shampoo & Tonic plus Nizoral Shampoo twice a week. Any advice would be very welcome.

Using the tips of your fingers, massage your scalp. This gets the blood flowing. If it's the top of your head the lack of blood to the scalp is possibly a factor.

Also, accept the fact that you're going bald. Only for the sake that the more you stress about it, the worse it will get.

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I do suffer with circulation problems ie very cold hands and feet most of the time and have started massaging my scalp like you suggest whilst using the caffeine based shampoo.
