I'm sure it might, but i've heard that tanning booths dry your hair out REALLY BADLY. I always wrap my hair in a shirt or towel because it's cheaper to buy hair dye than have to get my gross split-end hair cut every two weeks.

I tan and yes they do make your hair a lighter color...If you don't want this to happen it's best to cover your hair with a towel or shower cap.
