| Re: Foil vs Cap when highlighting
Hi, actually, I use a cap more often (but I'm a really small business and not that fast with foils). For smaller placings, foils are great...and for short hair drawing it on.
Some hairstylists have the cap hilighting down to a science and they are still awesome and more natural looking than with foils.
It's not better or worse....although some stylists are foiling snobs and consider it lazy to use a cap. Pshaw!!
After hilighting, for some of my clients I use Shades EQ by REdken to empart shine and/or colour. Depends on the end result.
On the short hair clients...I'll do Shades first, haircut and then draw the bleach on to just lighten the colour to the desired shade.
Questions:...do you not like the end result of your hilights?
.............how short is your hair?
.............what would you prefer?
.............are your hilights blonde?
.............what is your base colour?
