Ok, I have been dying my hair for years and a long time ago, I dyed it blonde alot..then grew my hair out to its natural color, then dyed it red with blonde highlights..and thats what i havebeen doing for almost a year and i love the red but it never ever stays for more than 2 weeks, sometimes 1. I think I want to dye it brunette with blonde highlights. Does anyone know of a good brand that will not fade bad? (I cant go to a salon, its too expensive) Also, does anyone know if prenatal vitamins really help your hair to grow faster, or even thicker? thanks..

I've had the same problem with Red dye fading - it's just a difficult colour to keep even if it's done at a salon. I do mine about every 4 weeks in Red and it still looks drained of colour really quickly. I love 100% colour by garnier, it seems to stay very well for red OR brown. Also I have problems getting highlights to actually lighten my hair but I have found one brand that works well for me, Blondissma (that may be spelled wrong) always does the trick. It comes out VERY blonde when you're about to wash it off - almost white/yellow, but don't worry about that because it will be fine when it dries!=)
