Hi.

I'm very interested in removing the hair above my upper lip (tired of bleaching) and my bikini line (tired of bumps and ingrown hairs) via the laser. I'd like to hear about some good experiences from everyone, since it sounds like the perfect treatment for me.

i've done laser hair removal and its great! i did my legs, underarms and bikini. only negative is the price. in order to completely remove the hair, you will need to do between 6 and 10 sessions depending on your skin type and how coarse your hair is....it cost me $300 per session....and do not go anywhere but a dermatologist! otherwise, going to a salon, spa, etc, you are risking getting burned...i got minor burn on my leg because the nurse set the laser tool too high....

one other thing...there are certain parts of your body that you cannot get laser done because of either the sensitivity or risk....such as eyebrows, etc...i think that the upper lip is one of them....go for a consultation and they will let you know....

The key to laser hair removal being successful is determined by the training of the person holding the laser. Very few dermatologists received true laser training. Workshops and in house training sessions are a joke. 30 hours minimun training at a true laser school is crucial.

The upper lip is fine to treat with laser. It is sensitive, but because it is such a small area, it's less than a minute of discomfort.

Above and between brows can be treated. Because of the risk of eye damage, below the brow is not recommended with laser. Electrolysis can take care of that.

I just had my first treatment (upper lip & bikini) a couple of weeks ago and have noticed a difference already. It hurts like getting waxed, but my pain tollerance is high since I've been waxing for several years. I wish the treatments were every week, but you have to wait for the new hair to grow. I was told it would take about 8 treatments, but she is working with me on the price since I'm doing 2 areas at once. Plus her policy is 2 treatments at full price, the 3rd is 25% off and the 4th and after is half price. I go to a Plastic Surgeons office and she definitely knows how to work the laser without burning me. I received a free consultation before we started. She even zapped me in a couple of areas to see if I was ok. I'd definitely recommend shopping around and being careful who you go with.

I been going to a upscale laser center to do bikini line. I never have been burned. Most of the laser technicians are nurses and I check they are certified in the laser they are going to use. I don't know if dermatologist office do full brazilian I mean all of the hair down including like perianal hair and such. Two things, it is pricey and it is painful but absolutetly worth it
