Tangles... OUCH - Hair Problems Message Board

I wash my hair at night and dry it before I go to sleep. I can't take a shower in the morning because my hair is slightly dry and frizzy, and when I sleep it makes the frizz go down a bit. But lately when I wake up, my hair is so tangled to the point where I can't even run my fingers through it without it causing pain. When I try to brush it, it feels like my hair is being ripped out. I use a leave-in conditioner (Infusium 23) but I'm not sure what else to do.

Hi journies,
You can try buying a satin pillow case. As we toss and turn at night on our cotton pillow cases, our hair gets tangled up pretty bad. On a satin pillow case, the hair easily slides around with you.

I used to do this when my hair was longer. If your hair is long enough, you can put it in one or two large soft rollers on top of your head. When you brush it out the next morning it's soft and full of body.

Any more suggestions out there for journies?
