Female and Chin Hair....

Most likely I'm gonna get cosmetic scissors to trim these hairs...

Do any women here suffer hair on their chins? I'm only 20 years old, yet I have to do wax, trim, basically anything to get these hairs off my chin. Is this hereditary or this is an hormonal imbalance?

Re: Female and Chin Hair....

It's both, most women tend to get more as they get older also. It's just part of life, I guess you could get some treatments if it really bothers you.

Re: Female and Chin Hair....

Hey I am in the same boat, but thankfully so far I only get a few. All I do is pluck them out, as waxing or shaving can make it look just like you shaved. My best friend has the same problem, but she shaves her face, the poor thing. You can totally tell she does too. I would either pluck the hairs, or if you can afford it, get laser hair removal. I have heard, but I am unsure if this is true, that women who are over weight tend to grow hair on their faces more than women who are not overweight. I also tend to agree that it is a genetic thing, my mom used nair on her face like you would not believe! You are so not alone.

Re: Female and Chin Hair....

You could get it waxed professionally..for some reason waxing seems to last longer if it's done professionally. I get hairs on my upperlip and if I do it myself it doesn't last as long as when I go to the beauty therapist! It's quite cheap to get facial waxing done.

Re: Female and Chin Hair....

I've had facial waxing before. Let's just say it's very painful -- more painful than doing your eyebows! I rather have needles individually taking the hairs out rather feeling an unrealistic smooth chin.
