hair dye allergys - Hair Problems Message Board

hello,

ive been dying my hair for as long as i can remember,
anyway i was very anxious dying my hair a few days back,as ive heard some horror stories about hair dye allergys.
i done the skin test and it was fine so i put it on,during the time the dye was on,my head felt a bit itchy,and i panicked so i washed it of after 20mins even tho your meant to leave it on for 45mins.
anyway its nearly 2 days since ive dyed my hair,and im worried incase im allergic,i know it sounds like im over reacting but,im very anxious about all these horror stories. anyway,im just wondering,when dying hair,how long it would be untill something bad happend? am i in the clear?
im never dying my hair again,i say this all the time but this time,i mean it! I DOO!! erm,anyway thanks,please reply as im..well! im scared..alot

There is no need to worry. I think you will be fine. As long as you did the patch test on your skin,And it was fine. You should be in the clear. I know when I color my hair or anyone elses scalp always itch Because the color tingles scalp and makes it itchy.It is a normal thing to experience.
