I'm stupid- gave myself a VERY bad haircut :( - Hair Problems Message Board

I have bipolar disorder and just before Christmas when I was manic I decided it would be fun to cut my hair. Not just cut it, completely shave it off. Honestly guys, I was completely bald, no exaggeration. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew how quickly hair grows because it is still VERY short (as in it just about covers my head now, but as I'm a girl who did have very long hair that doesn't really help)

Hair normally grows about 1/2 inch a month. But a little quicker in summer because of humidity. I hope it comes in quick for you.I am sorry to hear this happened.

There are certain vitamins you can take to make your hair grow longer, do a search in a search engine. Biotin is one example of a vitamin you could take.

Make sure you get a fair amount of protein in your diet. Stimulate your scalp with massage. Research various supplements and include regular cardio-vascular exercise in your daily routine. It isn't a miracle cure but it can help a bit. Those are the main tips I have found over the years. And I know exactly how bad you must feel-hair is very important to me as well. It seems silly, but lots of us get upset over bad hair.
