I am constantly fighting battles with my curly hair, and it
always seems to win. I have VERY curly hair that is also
REALLY thick! My hair tends to get very wide and frizzy as
it dries. I have used almost every gel, mousse, and pomeade
(sp?). The gel often gets absorbed, the mousse makes my hair
dry out, and most creams and pomeades aren't strong enough.
I am sick of it!
1) Are there any good products out there that have a strong
hold but still won't dry out my hair?
2) Are there any relaxers that you can use at home that will
calm my tight curls, but won't dry and damage my hair? I want
to get it professionally straightened, but that it out of my
3)Does anyone have experience with profesional straightening?
Do you reccommend it?
I have very curly, pain in the but 3C hair. The most important thing for my hair is a really good leave-in.My absolute favorite is Rusk Senseries Smoother.I put it on my hair when it is real wet before I get out of the shower. Then I run a pick through it,very lightly towel dry .Then I smooth a serum through it and pick again.Right now Im using Nuetregena triple moisture serum.I buy the Rusk at Trade Secret for $10.
About your hair problem its important to have a haircut that you can manage you can try some long layers ,layers will make curly hair and thick hair more managable, it is important to use the right products for your hair to be more managble , a straightening shampoo and conditioner can make a difference by making your hair more smooth , it is important to wash hair with cold water (cold water calms curls and frizzness while warm water will add more frizness and volume) after you wash your hair use a leave in conditioner and some hair serum after styling. (hair treatments have a good role too) about straightening i recommend to be done in hair saloon it can be risky to be done at home if so read instructions carefully..
