| Re: Hair growth
That's what I thought my problem was too since I used to eat really, really poorly when I was a teenager a few years ago. I'm also a bit underweight (just a few pounds) but I doubt that that's what the problem is since I eat much healtheir now and taking vitamins... but that doesn't seem to make any difference.
I also don't have any other health problems at all.
I wish there was another explanation for this thing, but apparently there isn't. I wish I went to an endocrinologist instead of my regular doctor since an endo would probably have a better explanation... my doctor was completely clueless when I asked him what the possible causes were (he had to consult his books for a couple of weeks before he finally asked me to come back and get more blood and urine tests done- which were also pointless since everything came out "normal").
I've done a lot of reasearch on this and the possible causes are abnormal hormone leves, polycystic ovaries (PCOS), high testosterone levels, tumors, and even eating too many carbohydrates.
I had my hormones tested (normal), I also got tested for PCOS (negative), and I'm pretty sure that I don't have any tumors.
I eventually found out that birth control pills can help control body hair... but I've been taking those for almost two years now and that hasn't helped me at all.
I hope this helps and you figure it all out soon.
Keep posting if you do find anything out.
