Everytime I take a shower, I lose at least 20 strands of hair.

I have very fine, thin hair, and not much of it either.

I don't have bald spots or hair loss or anything like that, but I am worried that I lose so much hair in the shower since I don't have a lot of hair on my head.

I have a hair strainer and I clean it every day. But everytime after I take a shower, it is full of hair!!!

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong in the shower?

Are you scrubbing super hard when you shampoo? Rough towel drying can also pull hair from the root. Do you have any illnesses that could lead to thinning hair? I've got Fibromyalgia & I lose a lot of hair too. Thyroid problems can thin your hair. If you're worried you can buy some shampoo for it at a salon. It seemed to help my son from losing his hair so fast. Good luck!

I had my blood tested a while ago and the doctor didn't find any health problems that could be related to losing my hair.

I switch shampoos all the time. I heard that sticking to one brand of shampoo isn't good for your hair. I've used Pantene, Garnier, and now Tresemme.

It seems as if my hair gets 'loose' or something when it's wet. It just falls right off in the showers when I'm washing it.

When I shower & shampoo there's a lot of hair that comes off in my hands. I think it's already loose but the shampoo action makes it stick to your hands. Sometimes, I can't even see the holes in the drain because it's filled with hair. I still have a lot of hair because I re grow it. Some medicines can cause hair loss. I would still recommend going to a salon & buy some shampoo that starts with a N-I-O-X. I thought about another person who used it & it helped. She lost a lot of her hair while she was pregnant & this shampoo helped.
