| Re: Biotin doesn't really work for me
Have you had your iron levels and thyroid checked? A lot of people with either one of these conditions, or both if you are unlucky, can end up with serious hair shedding.
I wasted 6yrs trying different shampoos, getting regular trims, thinking it could be lack of vitamins/minerals, blaming it on stress of my job before i got sick and went to the doctor who organised a blood test. I couldn't understand why she wanted to check my iron levels as i wasnt a vegetarian and ate a very healthy diet, but my iron storage was bordering on anemia.
I have since found out that my vitamin D was extremely low as was my iodine, my thyroid wasn't the best as my iron levels had been bad for so many years.
Please don't waste time on products which likely wont get you anywhere if you have an underlying health issue. Biotin is likely fine for someone who is reasonably healthy, but if you are in the same predicament as i was with my iron then you can take all the biotin in the world and it wont help you.
