salt in eyebrow???

This is a really wierd problem and I know it. In one of my eyebrows, I get this sandy gritty powdery buildup, and it's salty! I brush it out every day with a little mascara brush. I suppose if I let it build up it would look like big chunks of dandruff! It's just in one eyebrow. Isn't that wierd? It's never sweaty there. Anybody else have anything like it? Thanks for any clues.

Re: salt in eyebrow???

Could it be related to eczma or psoriasis (sp?) Have you tried applying some moisturiser to the area to see if the dryness disappears? That's about all i can suggest, but i have seen people who have had a dundruff type of issue at their eyebrow.

Re: salt in eyebrow???

I had the same problem for a while. I went to the dermatologist and got a cream for it. Its dermatitis, basically dandruff. If you watch what you eat it can help reduce the effects. Dandruff is essentially the elimination of of excessive fat and protien build up. Try to avoid saturated fats and fried foods especially.

Re: salt in eyebrow???

Thanks for the replies. I just remembered that I had posted this question so I just checked to see if anyone had responded. I am going to be going to the dermatologist in a few weeks for my annual checkup, so I'll ask him. Thanks!
