Did the doctor who you visited specialise in hair loss or hair issues or was he an ordinary practitioner? Have you gone elsewhere for a second opinion?
Sorry i can't help you in this situation but do understand how much you want to help your little girl. I hope puberty does fix the problem. Obviously something in her system is not working as it ought to. The only hair issues i've had experience in would be adult situations similar to what is occuring in your little girl, but these are linked to thyroid and hormone issues, which she wouldn't be likely to even be able to have issues with at her age.
The only other issues would be issues with the pancrease and inability to digest protein foods correctly or some other form of digestive disorder which leads to malabsorption of nutrients. She couldn't be low in ferritin (iron stores)? I have read of thins occuring in very young children, though rarer than in adults, but still a possibility.
