Hello all,

I'm concerned that I may be going bald, but I don't exactly have the sure-sign symptoms at this point.

My hair in the past hasn't been very thick, but thicker than it currently is. My hair has become very fine over the past several months. I didn't notice at first because when my hair would fall out and it would look fine so I barely paid any attention thinking it was just an isolated hair. The reason why I wouldn't observe the rest of my scalp becoming more fine is because I have a lot of hair. It's not really long, but I have it styled in a way that is longer than the typical short haircut that most men have.

I'm 22, male, and now I've observed that my hair is falling out quite easily. When I comb my hair or tug at it, many hairs easily come out. However, my scalp doesn't appear to be thinning at all. And my hair line doesn't appear to be receding, but since my hairstyle is longer my hair almost always covers my forehead therefore I haven't really paid my attention to if it is or not. The fine hair is not located to any particular area of my scalp, but it is all over. I believe that I am more than likely losing more than 100 hairs that is the norm; however, it is difficult to say... I haven't exactly been counting. I do know that my hair is coming out much easier than it has in the past.

I understand baldness is genetic and it is believed to be a maternal gene. My brother is bald (half brother, sharing the same mom) and I believe he may have gone bald in his mid twenties.

Do you think I should be concerned about this? Or perhaps my hair is just destined to genetically become finer and I'm just getting a bit overworked up about this?
