Fine, Thin, Oily Hair - Hair Problems Message Board

I am 22 years old and I have had really thin, fine hair my whole life but now it is just makeing me angry to see people looking at it. I am trying to find ways to make it thicker, or even appear that way, the thing is I have to work with my hair up all the time and I know that is not good for my hair, but it is the only way to keep it out of my face, you can see on the side of my head where it is thin when I put it up there is no way to cover it up. Please help me figure out how I can fix my hair. If anyone knows of anything that can help me please let me know it would be much appreciated.

Having your hair cut/style in layers will make your hair thicker and you can still pull your hair up for work when you need to .

I'm with you on the fine thin hair. I have always had had that resembles cat fur. I have to disagree with the layered cut, it never works for me. It takes what little hair I have, and chops it down into nothing. It might look good for the first 10 minutes, but after that, it is a disaster.

I keep mine in one basic length, with wispy long bangs that look good when I wear it up. I am also not afraid to wear hats, visors, and hair bands to keep the hair out of my face. While it may not be appropriate all the time, it is great for running up to the store, or any quick getaway.

hi tqueen, you should go see a good hair stylist that would know how to flatter your face. Some styles are suited to hide our hair's imperfection. Also, you should pamper your hair, I believe that our hair grows the way we treat them..

Even if you have super thin hair, but its healthy looking..it does not look bad.
