I saw it too. It is expensive to go to a laser clinic and the therapy needs to be ongoing for ever, which costs even more money. Laser is not a miracle solution, especially not if the person trying it has lost a lot already.
I would suggest that you look into Propecia and Rogaine. Two FDA-approved treatments for keeping the hair loss under control.
