I recently turned 24 , And for the past month i been seeing grey hairs sprouting on my head. Its kind of noticeable because they stick straight up. I been plucking them. Anyone have any information or has experienced this themselves and tell me what it is? or maybe what can be causing this.!?
I do have hypothyroidism and i do have dandruff at times. Please i need info.?
Sometimes it is a random genetic thing, I know in my family a select few of us at a young age will have white hair; this is really noticeable on us because our hair is very dark brown to black. I've heard of the thyroid possibly being a cause for premature greying. I have hypothyroidism too, are you taking medicine for it, and if so are your levels all balanced? Hope you figure it out, but if you do go grey, rock it.
I noticed my first gray hairs in my early 20s.
Thankfully, that was almost 20 years ago, and I haven't gotten a lot more gray hairs than I had then.
Sometimes it doesn't progress very fast.
I started getting a few grey hairs at 19, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Believe me, it's a very slow process...I'm now 27 and only have a few more. It could be another 20 years before you have mainly grey hair And when you're in your mid 40s it will make you look distinguished
I have had grey hairs since I was 15 (my mom is mexican). I also have a friend who is paki and irainian and has had the same problem. If you pluck them their just going to be more notice able the best thing to do is use a little dye just on the little greys once a month.
