There are so many threads about male hair loss at a young age and I've read through everything. At age 24, I feel like I'm balding - constantly having hair fall out just by running my hands through it.
My self diagnosis is a bit of genetics and also hair product usage (but I'm a healthy eater, so not a dietary problem). I can't really change the former, but the latter I used to use Head & Shoulders and I still use wax. I've discontinued H&S since I heard it's chemical components can lead to hair loss but with wax, I still use it because I'm not sure how else to deal with my hair.
My hair is extremely soft, to the point where once I wash my hair, it looks like I'm a baby. Hence I'm forced to use wax on my short hair every day to be taken seriously. So my question isn't really about hair loss prevention (though happy to take advice on that too), but more around recommendations of what I can do to my soft hair.
Either a) organic, chemical free hair wax recommendations or b) styles with short hair that don't look like a baby!
What kind of wax do you use? This, along with heredity could be causing hair loss. The wax might be clogging the cuticles of your hair, preventing new growth. Maybe, with the right cut,you may be able to not use product on your hair. Try using a (very, small) amount of coconut oil on it. Too much, will make it greasy, but a little may tame it. The best to you.
