Anyway, I bought this lip balm that is in a little circular disc and the ingredients are:

Coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, lanolin, tocopherol/tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E), peppermint oil, and comfrey root extract.

Would this product work better if I applied jojoba oil to my lips before using this lip balm?

Also, can you give me some tips to help my lips stay soft and supple without having to apply lip balm all the time?

Edit: One more thing, I remember someone on this board, not sure if it was you or not, but someone said to avoid using petroleum/petrolatum products (Vaseline and the like) on your lips... Why is that?

I LOVE burt's bees products! They are awesome!
I have what you have, but in the lip balm stick. When I exfoliate my face, I also do not forget my lips. I put a fine layer of vaseline on my lips on night. It helps keep the moisture in. I get lots of comments on how beautiful my lips are - which is amazing, cause I really never thought about them ;-)

I've heard you shouldn't use petroleum products because you're skin gets "addicted" to it. It doesn't heal the underlying problem, it just masks it. But I don't think that's accurate. Putting pure vaseline on my hands at night really helps when I have an eczema outbreak. Unfortunately, if I use pure vaseline on my lips it sometimes gets on my face and causes acne. But it does make my lips look great.

Your lips are WAY softer just the next day, and using it daily your lips are softer than ever.

It's much better than Berts (I think)
