Sorry, I suppose I should have said that I am not only a Nail Technician, I have also done hair for over 35 years, and also hold my Instructors License in the State of Texas. I performed the 'perm' procedure for more clients than I can count during those 35+ years, and have always had excellent results. Most over-the-counter, as well as professional straighteners, contain very harsh chemicals - much harsher than perm solution. I would STILL recommend the perm procedure if he just wants to relax the curl a bit to give him more control. Straighteners will remove all the curl and leave him looking pretty strange as it grows out. With the perm solution technique, he has more control as to the amount of curl that is removed, and he can always add some Infusuum 23 leave-in conditioner to the neutralizer to deep condition the hair during this process.

I posted somethng about my hair before and got a couple different answers...

1) perm, for taking curls out...
-now does anyone know how long this last?
also how much the cost is?

2) white relaxer, doesn't this take out curls, but
go away when getting your hair cut? Also what is
the cost of it?

3) straighteners, they take out all curls someone said
-how long do they take out the curls?
how much do u have to use this?

Like I said I have deep waves and curls, the waves are okay I basicallu just want the curls gone... I look like I have black people hair, thats what one of my aunts calls it... My mom told me there was a treatment that takes out the curls and whatnot. I think i read something about this on this board. How it last for 6 months and stuff.. Does anyone know what this is>? how much it cost? and where i might get it done at>? THANKS a lot if you reply to this... All replys are grealy apperciated
