Does anyone know what could cause eyelashes to fall out? I am losing mine at an alarming rate. I used to have long this lashes. Now my poor eyes are well on their way to being bald.

Hi,

I had this happen to me a few times too. I think it is due to mascara. Do you wear mascara? Certain brands of mascara make my eyelashes fall out. Also when I wear a mascara that is difficult to remove, I accidentally rip out lashes when using eye makeup remover pads.

Do you actually see them falling out, or do you wake up in the morning and see new bald spots??

Yes I do wear mascara. I have worn the same brand for awhile. Maybe I'll try changing to a different brand and see if that helps.

When I'm taking off my makeup, I actually see them falling out. They are either on the makeup remover pad or they get stuck in my other lashes and I have to pull them out.

You say this happened to you before? Did your lashes eventually stop falling out or did they grow back?
