Need advice on constant headache - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

[FONT=Comic Sans MS]I am 24 years old i have had a constant headahce ( and by constant i mean has not gone away at all ) for 2 years. there are times when it gets worse and when it dulls a little. i have been to 2 neurogolists a chriopractor plenty of doctors and trips to the er and tons of meds. I even had a breast reduction in hopes this would help in some way. no doctor has done anything helpful, i have had cat scans and mris i have done everything literally does anyone have any advice or have you ever heard of someone with some kind of condition like this? i am looking for any help at all really

I am so sorry to hear that you are suffering so. I suffer from chronic cluster headaches. I am basically in pain 16 hours a day. I used to think it was one long big ha but over the years I have realized that they are in fact seperate ha. I can tell because the pain starts out at a low level and then I am hit real hard. Then the pain gets real low for a half hour and then I am hit real hard again for 1 1/2 hrs. This reapeats 8x a day. The ha occur at the same times every day. Could that be what you are experiencing? The pain is one sided and is centered more behind the eye. It is a deep boring burning stabing severe pain. While there are some that suffer from chronic migraines where the ha lasts all day and it is a throbbing pulsating pain. Then there is also chronic daily ha which is something different that I am not all that familiar with its symtoms. I found relief by seeing a pain management dr because non of the preventatives worked for me. I went on the duragesic patch 50mcg and it was a god send. I hope and pray you find relief soon.
