| Re: Teen with Migraines Help?!
First of all, you're not alone. I too am a teen with migraines for two years, however, mine are pretty much daily. I also, had no luck with imitrex, but relpax has helped me a lot. Certain smells do trigger my migraines at times. As far as being dizzy and falling over, my dizzy spells only happen when rising from a seated position. It turns out that I have low blood pressure. School is torture, when having a migraine. I easily missed half of my senior year, unfortunately. I'm sorry I can't help much, except send you my condolences. I am however feeling much better lately.
My neurologist has tried to put me on several difference migraine preventatives. Most of which I had allergic reactions to. Though I finally found a medication that works for me and I can tolerate (Pamelor). I know that the trial-and-error method isn't the most appealing course of action, but don't give up. Since I've started Pamelor, I've have migraines, on average, every other day now. Which, for me, is a huge step up. Well, I wish you luck. Try Relpax, it just may help. Best wishes.
