I am going nuts. Throughout most if my life headaches have been rare. About a year ago i began having pain on my temples. The last 6 months its been just the left temple and I blamed it on muscle cramps because i can push on it and feel the pain, or turn my head certain ways and feel it. Its right where your head moves when you chew. Probably from clenching I'm guessing. about two weeks ago i developed my first earache ever. After a week of taking my daily doses of motrin or tylenol I went to the urgent care doc and he saw no sign of infection. did see some swelling in there somewhere and told me to take 2400 mg of motrin per day and a decongestent for 5 days. Ive done that and still have the earache and now i have developed headaches. They are on top of my head sometimes just a small area, and sometimes all the way across, but pretty constant for 4 days now. Earache is less or maybe just less noticable becaus eof the headaches. Sometimes it goes around my left eye too. It's all predeominantly left sided.
I feel like I am crazy and the doctor will just say its stress. Xanax doesn't work for these headaches so i'm guessing its a bit more. Sinus infection? no temperature, aloso not any more plugged up then normal. I'm always a little plugged.
Thanks, I was molded for a mouthpiece at my dentist the other day. Just seems weird that it could cause such pain so suddenly. I hope thats it because the worrying about tumors, cancer etc... is probably whats causing the headaches on top of my head. Its just gotten so much worse in the last couple of weeks.
I don't know if you are still having this problem or are still looking at this board but my dad had an illness called temporal arteritis which can be very serious and has the symptoms you're describing. Please look into this if you are still feeling sick. My dad lost his vision because of this illness
