I think I've started getting migraines. A few weeks ago I had a serious insomnia attack and didn't sleep more than 4 hours from tuesday-saturday.
I was completely exhausted, dizzy and nauseous and then this pounding headache just came from nowhere like someone was smashing on the inside of my skull with a sledgehammer right on my left temple area. My left arm went completely numb, and my leg started to do the same. Stupidly, I decided to go for a walk in nearby woodland (this helps when I have a normal headache), and promptly passed out. I came around probably about 10 minutes later, stumbled home, and lay on my bed in agony until it abated a bit and I fell asleep. When I woke up (17 hours later!) it'd gone completely.
Same thing happened this week, only I'd only missed one night of sleep. Sudden onset (over maybe 15 minutes, if that), nausea, dizziness and numbness, and then just keeling over.
But I've read a little and nowhere does it mention migraines making people pass out. I have a feeling it's just a stress response from the pain - I faint when I get tired/stressed/hungry. Or do migraines just do this?
