Severe HEADACHE maybe caused by IUD or toothache HELP!! - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

Hey everyone..im writing hoping someone can help me out with this..i have been having a severe headache 24 hrs a day for the past 2 weeks..and its only on the right side of my head, the pain is so horrible i just wnat to bang my head against a brick wall knowing it would feel way better than this headache. At first i thought it was caused by a toothache and a cavity i had..but i recently went to the dentist and got that filled and i still have the headache. and it makes my jaws ache and my whole right side of my head and face...i was told i need to get my wisdom teeth out so im not sure if maybe that could be causing it..all i know is its driving me nuts...and i have 2 kids who dont help this at all..im having to take pain meds to just make it through the day..also i just got a IUD birth control put in last week..but im pretty sure the headaches were going on before i got it....i have a horrible memory so i really cant remember..has anyone else had headaches from a IUD or can anyone help??

A few years ago, I had a very bad headache, right side. After meds from my family doctor failed to help, he suggested I see my dentist. I did and had an abscessed tooth, that I didn't even know about. After the tooth was pulled (it was a wisdom tooth), the headaches stopped immediately. I know you said you had a tooth filled, but it might not hurt to have the dentist recheck, even x-ray, the teeth on that side of your head to see if one might be infected. Just a suggestion.
