is this tension or what? help please - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

I get headaches often but I can only think of about 4 headaches that were unbareable, last night was one. I have a panic disorder so it might contribute to tension but I feel the pain all over and it throbs and it hurts to get up and walk around. I just recently had an mri about 3 months ago and it was nomal besides sinusitis. I took tylenol for it last night and it went away a little but came back with a vengance 3 hours later. I hate hate hate this

Go to a Neurologist that specializes in headaches/migraines to see if you are actually suffering from migraines rather than headaches.
Check your local yellow pages for a headache clinic in your area.
You may need something something stronger than *over the counter* meds.

thank you, I was diagnosed with migrains once. I wen to the e.r. for a severe headache(the first one ever). I sometimes during a headache have vision problems like something is blocking my view. But from what I have read on migrains it happens before the actual headache. I get it during. I don't know. I will see a doc though. It took my doc long enough to finally get an mri done on me, I had to gripe for a while. as least I know that is o.k. since you sound like a expert on migrains what do you think?

The visual problem, or aura, can occur before or during the headache. The aura occurs before the migraine in the case of classic migraines, and during the headache in the case of common migraines.
