I am a 34 years old mother of 2, with very busy life schedule, and lack of sleep (no time!). I have had the headaches all my life, but one or two doses of painkillers would usually treat the problem. But about 6 days ago, after a day of somewhat discomfort in my head, I felt very strange "squeeze" in my left temple which radiated into the right. I was frightened, because I thought I am having a blood pressure, or stroke, or something else more terrible. The "squeeze" went away, then came back again, and again, and again. Now for a couple of days at times (and right now) I feel this sensation of tightness around my head (in temple areas, forehead, under my eyes and nose and in the back going into my neck and upper shoulders, even my ears, seems like it is moving around). Sometimes it feels like my brain doesn't have enough space in the scalp. It gets better when I move around, went completely away after swimming and some exercise, but then it comes back again. It is worse at work by computer. I never heard about this types of headaches before, but now I read about them a lot and my symptoms do fit description of "tension-type" headache. I have been by my doctor twice, he doesn't see any neurological problem, he thought I am anxious (and I was!), gave me some diazepam, which helps some, but not completely. Tylenol or Advil help very little.
The day before everything started I did Yoga class (I practice Yoga regularly), and did a plow pose very quickly, felt some discomfort in my neck. Could my headache be triggered by this pose in Yoga? Sometime past winter I did have a discomfort in the back of my head after this pose as well, but that was obvious. Any comments?
