trying another drug. - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

Hi there. I have been on many migraine preventive drugs with only 1 being my miracle drug (neurontin) but after being on it for 5 yrs. I was starting to get a headache every evening. went off that and on topomax which almost killed me. now my dr prescribed cyclobenzapr. Its also for sleep because i was sleeping like 3 hrs a night. has anyone used it? also has anyone tried that "HEAD ON" they advertise on tv? you rub it on your head. I can't find it in any of my local stores yet.

I've never heard of HeadOn nor seen any commercials for it on TV.

So um.....you rub this stuff on & its suppose to work?

dberry ~ I'd like to hear a little more about the Topamax experience you had. I'm on that med, 100 mg at bedtime. I always read what exeryone has to say about their side effects etc. with Topamax. Thanks.

my topomax experience- started out with numb feet and fingers, I saw flashes of light( light a camera going off in your eyes, shortness fo breath, extreme nausea, i couldn't eat or drink, diarhea, lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks. went to er and was severely dehydrated and they thought everything was wrong from kidney stones to liver and pancreas problems. (my pancreas #s were slightly elevated) after going off topomax still had pretty bad stomach pains.So it took about 4-6 weeks to recover.
