Vestibular migraines - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

I have recently been diagnosed as a result of extensive testing with vestibular migraines which is dizziness with migraine. It is such a relief to know what I have now and am not crazy. I have been prescribed topamax and the doctor said his patients have had up to 100% relief. I have read about the extreme side effects of this drug and am very nervous about taking it. But I am getting very tired of feeling so bad. I am also getting nervous to drive because of the dizziness.
If anyone has had experience with topamax I would appreciate your help.

I suggest that you read through these threads in this forum as practically everyone here (including myself) is on Topamax.

I highly & strongly recommend that you do your own research on Topamax. You will find there are some "good, bad & ugly side effects". However, they all do not affect everyone and/or affect everyone the same way. So do not be alarm by what you find online.

I also strongly recommend that you have a chit chat with your doctor about the side effects of Topamax if you haven't already.

I was taking Topamax for 2 months, and experienced extreme hair loss. BE AWARE. Good Luck. LEMH1978
