New member needing advice! - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

Hi,
I've been suffering from daily headaches for years but the past few weeks they have been worse.I have pain in the right side of my head and it's always in the same place.To try to explain the pain as best i can it feels like someone is stabbing me.When the pain is at it's worse nothing makes it better whatever i do.Loud noises always hurt and make the pain worse so i'm constantly telling the kids to be quiet or turn the tv down etc.I don't know what to do and it feels like i'm going crazy! Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like tension headaches to me; most likely caused by stress. try excedrin migrain and if that's not strong enough then consider seeing a doctor.

Have you seen a doctor? Nurologist who specializes in headaches?
If yes to any of the above, did they prescribe any type of medications? If so, which ones?

If you are not under the doctors care, what type of over the counter meds have you tried?

Hi,
I've seen my GP about this but he hasn't said anything about me seeing a neurologist.I have tried all over the counter meds here in GB but none of them work for me.I've got to the stage where i just don't take them anymore.So i'm not currently taken any medication for them.
