CT scans are usualy performed
1. because the patient expects/demands one
2. For legal rather than medical reasons
A CT scan is very short, as you say, modern equipment can complete a thorough scan in 5 minutes.
Have you seen a physical therapist about your headaches?
Fioracet is a strange cocktail, a low dose of acetaminophen, a low dose of caffeine, and a barbiturate with no known analgesic activity.
You may do better with a specific medication, for example an analgesic plus a triptain if it is migraine like, or an analgesic plus a muscle relaxant if it is "tension type" headache.
A combination of 2 Advil PLUS 2 percogesic can be suprisingly effective.
